What is the latest time we would need to book in order to secure the room?
Due to popularity of Rodney Bay location, it is recommended to book as far in advance as possible. Three nights deposit is required to secure a booking and the remaining rental balance must be paid on arrival.

What sort of weather could be expected during the year?
From November to February the day temperature is approximately 27 degrees centigrade, with a night temperature of approximately 21 - 22 degrees centigrade. December and January are the coolest months. From April to October the day temperature is approximately 23C to 29C. June to August is the hottest period. Our climate is tempered by constant cooling trade winds.

Is Tax inclusive in the quoted prices?
No, 8% government tax and 10% service charge have to be added to all prices quoted on our web site.

How far and how much is the cab ride from the airport?
St. Lucia has two airports. Hewanorra International Airport at View Fort - some 40 miles south of the capital Castries and George F. L. Charles Airport, 2 miles from the centre of Castries. Charles airport is 15 minutes taxi ride away from Rodney Bay and Hewanorra airport is 1 hour 30 mins. Most international flights land at Hewanorra airport because it is a bigger airport. The taxi fare from Charles airport is EC$40 (US$15) and EC$160 (US$60) from Hewanorra airport.

Do a lot of people travel by moped?
No, mopeds and bicycles are not popular, mainly because St. Lucia is a very mountainous Island.

Can you clearly see Rodney bay and the sea from Villa Cleopatra?
Yes, you can clearly see the water of Rodney Bay and the sea from Villa Cleopatra. All guests so far find the view very beautiful and tranquil. Essentially the view is the pool in the foreground, Rodney Bay in the middle distance, then the Caribbean Sea, followed by the French Island Martinique.

What is the nearest beach?
The nearest beach is the Reduit Beach, which is 1 mile of golden sand and is rated as one the best beaches on the Island. Reduit beach is within 10 minutes walk from Villa Cleopatra and and our other villas and apartments.

Are you able to offer a discount for long-term bookings?
If you are staying longer than 3 weeks we can offer you a 15% discount on the whole booking. Further discounts can be negotiated if staying for longer periods, e.g. over 8 weeks.

Is there a private bathroom/toilet in the 1-bedroom apartment?
Yes, there is a private bathroom/toilet in the 1 bedroom apartment. It is also air-conditioned, and has louvered windows with mosquito net covering; useful at nights if you don't want to sleep with the AC on. There is also a ceiling fan in all rooms.

Is it possible to get breakfast?
There are restaurants within walking distance, opened from 7am to 11pm. Guest at Villa Cleopatra and our other villas and apartments can cook their own breakfast. Personal maid cooking is also available at Villa Cleopatra.

Does the apartments have a safe?
All apartments have a fairly large and secure safety deposit box, large enough to take a laptop computer. There is a small daily fee for use of the safe.

A car is not essential because most amenities are a short walk away. Touring can be done by car or by booking a day trip. We can make car hire bookings on your behalf. Visit our Activities & Events Page for the links to registered car hire companies in St Lucia, for comparing rates.

What is the average rental rate for a mid-sized car per week?
The average car rental rate is US $75 per day.

What side of the road do you drive on?
We drive on the left-Hand-Side of the road.

What electric voltage is used in St. Lucia?
The national supply is 240 volts 50 cycles, with square three-pin plug (same as the United Kingdom). Converters/adapters are available in the apartments and from local shops.

Is Villa Cleopatra near the Rex St. Lucian?
Villa Cleopatra is about 6 minutes walk from the Rex St. Lucian.

Is it possible to play tennis at the Rex St. Lucian?
Yes, it will be possible to book the Tennis courts at the Rex St. Lucian.

What currency do you recommend we take to St. Lucia?
We recommend you take mainly Eastern Caribbean dollars for spending in St. Lucia. If flying via Barbados, you should also take a few American dollars, in case you want to buy anything at the airport. US dollars is also legal tender in St Lucia. Currency exchange is provided at all our local banks.

How do we get to the Villa on our arrival?
On arrival, we recommend using our regular Taxi driver, who will meet you at the airport, holding a very conspicuous "Villa Cleopatra" signboard for easy identification.

Can you accept bookings over the Internet?
Presently we do not accept online bookings over the Internet. All bookings must to be done by telephone, email or fax. Internet booking will be possible in the near future.
